Seems like a pretty basic question: Given that there are Home Depot and Lowes home improvement stores all over the valley, why drive all the way to the Construction Lots warehouse?
The answer is pretty basic too: Because a few miles drive will save you a lot of money. A lot.
Let me explain why. The manufacturers of home improvement products — familiar names such as Kohler, Jacuzzi, Eljer, and many others — count on large and continuing orders from home improvement warehouses and distributors to keep their factories humming. Yet, more often than you might imagine, manufacturers end up with surplus inventory. It might be cancelled orders, production overruns, or left-over stock from last-year’s model. It might just be items that have been sitting in the warehouse too long. But no matter, it’s a problem. That surplus inventory takes up room, ties up capital, and looks bad on the accounting books. It has to be sold.
That’s where Construction Lots comes in. Suppose a manufacturer has a few dozen, or even a few hundred, of last year’s model of kitchen sink in their warehouse. They can’t sell them to Home Depot or Lowes, because they don’t have enough to go ’round (remember, all those thousands of stores.) If they sell them to one of their regular plumbing distributors, they’ll take up space and capital that could be used for other more profitable, and faster moving, inventory. So they call us.
Every business day of the year, we get calls from manufacturers and distributors offering us spectacular prices on truckloads of name-brand first-quality home improvement products that need to be sold fast. Sometimes, we’re literally able to buy for nickels or dimes on the dollar. (If we take the entire lot, and pay cash, that is.) As a result, we’re able to sell these products to you at far far lower prices than you’d pay elsewhere.
Here’s an example: We bought a truck-load of Eljer kitchen sinks. These are double bowl, enameled cast-iron sinks. The kind that will last a lifetime. If you were to look them up online, you’d find that they sell for $329 at one of the largest home improvement chains in the country. But because we were able to buy them at a great price, we can sell them for a great price: $99.88 each. Less than a third of what you’d pay otherwise.
Is it worth driving a few extra miles to save a couple of hundred dollars? Yes — but there’s a catch. We don’t always have everything you’ll need to do your home improvement projects. You might need to make a stop at the hardware store to pick up a few odds and ends that we don’t have.
For example, if you come down to our warehouse to pick up an Eljer, Teka, or Jacuzzi sink, we’ll also have a great buy on a faucet to go with it (possibly a Kohler or Jado). But we won’t necessarily have all plumbing supply and drain lines that you’ll need to do the installation. No worries — Home Depot and Lowes stock those items. While you’re there, you might be tempted to go over to the sink display area, to double check and see if our prices really are that good. Go ahead. More than likely, the sink you bought from us will be a match for their most expensive sinks, but cost quite a bit less than their least expensive sinks.
That’s what Construction Lots is about: Top quality home improvement products, at prices low enough to make you smile.

How about a remodeled bathroom?
OK — you can’t exactly put a bathroom in a box, cover it with gift-wrap, and put a bow on it. But a new bathroom will definitely
add some luxury to your life, and some value to your home.
At Construction Lots, we have most of the big things you need to do a bathroom remodel: vanities, counter-tops, sinks, faucets, mirrors, medicine cabinets, showers, tubs, tile, exhaust fans, lighting, toilets, and even bidets (if you want to get fancy!) And, our prices are pretty spectacular on all of these things. You can easily save a couple of thousand dollars off the cost of a bathroom remodel by buying the the materials from us. (And, besides this, you can get some exceptional designer products too.)
Here are photos of some of the items we have that will help you create a stunning new bathroom:

We could have put hundreds of photos here — because we do have a remarkable selection.
Besides these big things, we have little things too: grout, mortar, and even waterproof membrane.
If you’d like to buy someone special a new bathroom, we’ve got an easy way to fit it “under the tree”: Buy them a Construction Lots Gift Card.

We’d like to invite you to visit us this week, and browse around our warehouse. It’s not as pretty as some designer stores, but our
prices are enough to more than make up for it.
When you visit is, be sure to say that you saw our website.
